Bio

Tora is a singer-songwriter based in Vancouver, BC, who grew up in Nanaimo. From a young age, she was drawn to singing and storytelling, eventually learning guitar and developing her own songwriting style. As a teenager, she began entering singing competitions, building confidence as a vocalist and gaining stage experience. Her journey continued with her becoming a finalist in Nanaimo Idol 2025, further fueling her passion for connecting with audiences through music. Her music blends elements of pop and country combining catchy melodies with personal, story-driven lyrics inspired by life and love.

Drawing inspiration from artists who bring fun, heart and authenticity to their music. She is inspired by artists such as Miranda Lambert, Shania Twain, and Ella Langley.

Tora has begun building her presence in the local music scene through a variety of live performances across Vancouver Island and Vancouver. Her performances include acoustic sets at local breweries such as The Wolf Brewing Company in Nanaimo, and music venue Guilt & Co. in Vancouver. Most recently she performed with her band at The Queen’s music venue in Nanaimo.

Alongside music, Tora also works as a pediatric nurse at BC Children’s Hospital bringing the same connection into her songwriting and performances. She performs a mix of heartfelt originals and crowd-favourite covers, with the goal of creating an inviting and engaging experience for her audience.

Tora is building her sound while performing across British Columbia, gearing up for the release of her debut music, and shaping what’s next.
